I thought of doing something silly for Thanksgiving, like a super hi tech turkey gobble, but then I came to my senses. I'll be sharing some (old fashioned? vintage? classic?) synth sounds that I'm creating for a project I'm working on. This is an Oberheim style trumpet-y sound. Actually, it doesn't sound like a trumpet at all, but in the higher register it kind of reminded me of one, so there you go. Luckily, the State Variable filter in Thor is modeled after the Oberheim filters, so you can get an Oberheim style sound pretty easily. Just remember - State Variable = OB, Low Pass Ladder = Moog. You can have a lot of fun with this patch just by changing the oscillator waveforms around. (I'll be posting regular mp3 files along with the flash enabled player for our iPhone and iPad friends).

ehi chris i used fl studio with reason in rewire. i downloaded a free software called soma enveloper that converts audio to midi cc,and i create a midi out channel to sends the midi cc to cc2 breath control in reason and sounds good even if i'm a newbie with reason and i wanto to set up to control volume too, because some patches play in a lower volume also without breath and when i breath in the mic they increase volume and that's ok.'i'm using a normal midi keyboard and the mic is connected in the rec out of my soundscard

i'm using all your patches only for fun.I found hat i love music only now that i'm 21 years old and i'm very interested in all the technologies applied to music but i can't afford the price of an ewi and of a breath controller too because i can't play music and because of the price!!!
